Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

General Questions

Losing weight effectively involves building healthy, sustainable habits. A balanced diet, regular physical activity, proper hydration, and consistent sleep all work together to support your goals. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, so it’s important to find what works best for your body and lifestyle.

What is Bwella?

Bwella is a healthcare membership service that gives patients access to high-quality providers specializing in holistic care for endocrine conditions—all for a simple, fixed monthly price.

Bwella is open to everyone—regardless of gender or background. To access care through Bwella, you must:

  1. Be 18 years of age or older.

  2. Have a medical need for treatment as determined by a licensed provider.

  3. Reside in, or be physically located in, a state where Bwella currently operates.

Bwella is more than just a telehealth platform—it’s a long-term care partner, designed to be simple, supportive, and personalized. Getting started takes just three easy steps:

  1. Complete your medical intake, and if needed, get lab work done to confirm a medical need for treatment.

  2. Connect with your dedicated provider in a telehealth (audio-video) appointment to discuss your health and goals.

  3. If treatment is appropriate, your medication will be shipped directly to you every 30, 60, or 90 days—based on your provider’s plan—through a licensed mail-order pharmacy.

At Bwella, we’re focused on building lasting relationships. Our care model is designed for people looking for ongoing support and tailored treatment for their endocrine health—not just a quick fix.

After you complete your medical intake forms, our team will schedule your telehealth appointment with a Bwella provider. Your appointment will take place over Doxy, a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform used for confidential virtual visits.

In simple terms: you’ll have a private video call with your provider to discuss your health and next steps for care

While certain programs offer discounted pricing for multiple months, you also have the option to choose a flexible month-to-month payment plan.

Medication & Services Questions

How do I get my medication?

At Bwella, we work with a trusted network of third-party compounding pharmacies to process your prescription (if approved). Once processed, your medication will be shipped directly from the pharmacy to the address you have on file.

Some patients may be eligible to request that their prescription be sent to a local pharmacy of their choice. This option is generally available for commercially available medications. Please note, however, that most compounded medications cannot be sent to a local pharmacy. Also, prescription costs from local pharmacies are not covered by your monthly subscription fees, and any associated charges will be the responsibility of the patient. Bwella cannot guarantee the quality or availability of medications provided by local pharmacies.

If you wish to have your prescription sent to a local pharmacy, please contact us at ask@bwella.com for further assistance.

The program costs displayed on our website include the medication costs (if approved by your provider). For your convenience, you will be billed once per month for the total cost of the program.

If you need a copy of your invoice, simply log in to your Bwella account to download it. All of your invoices are available in the “Invoices” section at the top of the page.

Payment is collected upfront to secure your appointment with a provider who can prescribe medication, as appropriate. If you are not a good candidate for your selected treatment program, our providers will work with you to explore alternative treatment options at Bwella.

Pharmacy Questions

Do I actually have to talk to the provider?

While some telehealth companies may send medication after simply filling out an online survey, the providers at Bwella believe that this is not an adequate way to make a diagnosis, particularly for new patients.

To ensure the best care, all patients are required to speak with a provider through two-way audiovisual communication (video call). Bwella integrates with Doxy, a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, to provide secure and reliable consultations.

Your prescription will be filled by one of our trusted third-party compounding pharmacies and mailed directly to the shipping address we have on file for you.

Some patients may be eligible to request that their prescription be sent to a local pharmacy of their choice. This option is typically available for commercially available medications. Please note that the costs associated with prescriptions at local pharmacies are not included in your monthly subscription fees, and any charges will be the patient’s responsibility.
